Durga McBroom and Lorelei McBroom toured with Pink Floyd as backup singers for many years. C.C. White has worked with many iconic artists. She is also the star vocalist of EastWest's blockbuster product Voices of Soul, one of the top selling vocal products ever produced.

WORDBUILDER
You have complete control over the shape of each word. When you type lyrics into the interface, WordBuilder intelligently pieces together individual phonemes--the smallest building blocks of spoken language--and maps them out for you. If a consonant or vowel seems slightly off (perhaps too loud or too short), you can get as granular as altering the feel of just the first ‘s’ in “singers,” without changing anything else. Over 220 WordBuilder ‘editable’ phrases and words are included to get you started, just grab them from a quickly accessible drop-down menu from genres such as Pop, Soul, and Gospel. If you don’t find the exact one you’re looking for, you can easily type it into WordBuilder manually, in any language!

Vowels
This contains every individual vowel recorded for Hollywood Backup singers (‘eh,’ ‘ee,’ ‘ah,’ etc.). The expression control allows you to add vibrato, as well as an optional Leslie speaker simulation for a rich chorusing effect.
Consonants
Sustained non-vowel sounds such as ‘m,’ ‘n,’ and ‘r.’ The expression control offers a dramatic volume range and subtle vibrato.
Combo Mod

Keyswitch
This is the easiest way to switch between Hollywood Backup Singers’ array of articulations, separated out between vowels, consonants, and solo phrases.
A wonderfully produced plugin for gospel, soul, pop, RnB backup vocals. The three ladies sound very authentic and their voices have been recorded outstandingly.
Mics and Recording Space
Hollywood Backup Singers was recorded in EastWest Studio Three, the same studio used to record The Mamas and the Papas, Blondie, Dolly Parton, Rihanna, Frank Ocean, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga and many others. The library features three microphone mixes: Close (Neumann U47, Telefunken 251, Shure SM7), Rear (stereo Neumann KU100 Binural Dummy Head, pair of vintage RCA 77's, pair of Sennheiser MKH800s), and Room (3 vintage Neumann M50 tube condenser mics in a Decca-Tree configuration, pair of Neumann U67's).
For creating polished contemporary female backing vocal performances, Hollywood Backup Singers is a very credible alternative to the real thing. WordBuilder technology is particularly impressive.
